I’m proud to share that I’ve completed my second year as a volunteer with the TEALS Program — a Microsoft initiative that helps high schools across the country build and grow inclusive, equitable computer science programs.
TEALS (Technology Education and Literacy in Schools) partners professionals with educators and students to increase access to computer science. Over the last two years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside an incredible teacher and inspiring students, sharing not just technical skills, but the confidence and mindset needed to solve problems, create solutions, and think critically in a tech-driven world.
What makes TEALS special is its mission: to make computer science accessible to every student, regardless of zip code, background, or prior exposure. Being a part of this mission has been deeply fulfilling. It’s about more than just coding—it’s about creating future opportunities and opening doors that may not have existed otherwise.
To every student I’ve worked with, thank you for your curiosity, resilience, and energy. And to the educators and fellow volunteers, thank you for your dedication and teamwork. I’m grateful to be part of this powerful movement—and I look forward to continuing this work in the years ahead.
