The latest U.S. Census estimates are in — and the numbers tell a powerful story about Margaret and the momentum we’ve built.
From 2010 to mid‑2023, Margaret’s population climbed from 4,428 to around 6,236, marking an impressive 41% growth. That pace outstripped Springville (≈28%) and Odenville (≈39%), and far exceeded the ~14% growth rate seen across St. Clair County.
📈 What Does This Mean for Margaret?
- We are no longer a sleepy suburb — we are a growing, thriving city.
- Families, workers, and retirees are choosing Margaret as their home.
- But growth without a plan is chaos. We need infrastructure, leadership, and smart development that rises to meet this moment.
✅ This is why I’ve been sounding the alarm.
We’ve grown. But our budget hasn’t.
Our roads haven’t.
Our infrastructure hasn’t.
And without real planning, Margaret risks collapsing under its own potential.
🛠️ I’ve worked to bring state and federal support.
🏗️ I’ve written grants that secured hundreds of thousands for roadwork.
📊 I’ve pushed for transparency, a real city budget, and long-term planning.
And I’m just getting started.
🚨 This data is a wake-up call — and a window of opportunity.
Margaret isn’t just a dot on the map anymore.
We are a fast-growing force in the county.
Now it’s time for our leadership to reflect that.
Let’s build a Margaret that is prepared to meet the community needs.
