Leadership isn’t about going along to get along. It’s about standing up — even when it’s uncomfortable — and doing what’s right for the people you represent.

For years, Margaret’s city council districts were imbalanced. Some council members represented hundreds of residents, while others represented over two thousand. That’s not fair. That’s not democratic. And more importantly, that’s not how representation is supposed to work.
I spoke up. I asked questions. I brought forward proposals. And I was told — more than once — that redistricting wasn’t going to happen. I was told by former leaders that they had no intention of correcting it. So, I did what leaders are supposed to do: I fought for the people.
Along with fellow citizens, I stood up for your right to equal representation. And we won.

Thanks to the efforts of those who refused to be ignored, Margaret now has a fair and legal district map. One where every council member represents roughly the same number of residents. One where your vote matters just as much as your neighbor’s. One that reflects the values of democracy, not political convenience.
This wasn’t about politics. It was about principle. And that’s the kind of leadership I believe Margaret deserves — leadership that listens, leads, and acts with integrity.
If elected as your next mayor, I’ll continue to lead with that same mindset. I won’t wait to be told what’s right. I’ll do what’s right — because Margaret’s future is worth fighting for.
🗳️ Let’s build a city that works for all of us.
